Hello,
Yes I have done the elimination thing, to no avail though! He eats Blue Buffalo which has 23 vitamins and minerals in it. Cowboy is allergic to wheat, so I watch what type of treats he gets. Most of the time we bake our own treats with rice flour instead of wheat.
But being our stud he does get a homepathic calming aid when one of the girls are in heat and we don't want to breed them. We only breed our females once a year, but at present we have stopped breeding because of the economy. (We miss the puppies terribly though!) So anyhow, I think you may have pin-pointed the problem? Do you know of any homeopathic or herbal calming aids that work and are NOT so STINKY? I will not drug him when the females come into season.... He isn't a stud who goes off the wall, he is quite calm except the last few days---then all pugs break loose! (That's our saying for all hell breaks loose!) Thank you and look forward to any calming aids you can suggest that won't cause this reaction.....
Pugs & Kisses to you from:
Sweet little Cowboy Puggie!!!!!!!!!!!!!
