    Re: Digestive Issues/Gastrointestinal

I am interested in a food recommendation for a 5 yr old female cat w/apparant IBS symptoms (chronic diarrhea).  She was fed Science Diet Adult dry food for 7 months in the shelter before I got her 2 months ago.  Before that I know she was free-fed dry (probably not good quality).  She is slightly overweight.  I have probiotics and some other cat supplements but I'm not sure what to feed her - it all goes right through her.  I'd like her to have wet food because I have been told by a holistic vet that dry food of any quality causes chronic dehydration.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

I wounder if some PROBIOTICS might be helpful. Those that contain FOS. My dog ELI has iffy bowels, and he takes ONP GI Support. Lots of good ingredients, and his GI tract is much better since using it.

    Best of luck.

I did try some different remedies including that, however, for a cat, it was hard to get her to eat her food with it.  But things have improved over time.  I think her body just had to adjust to eating healthier food than the crap they fed her in the shelter.
