    Separation Anxiety

    Hello to all!

I have had this situation come up a few times lately, and am not sure what to do.

My husband and I work opposite schedules, and, unfortunately, we do not get out as a couple very often. So, there is usually someone home with the dogs much of the time.

Last evening, we went out with friends, leaving the dogs at home. We were not gone but for a few hours. When we returned home, poor Miss Dix was beside herself, crying and moaning, and being inconsolable. She even piddled on the floor.

The pups have been left alone before, for short periods, and have been fine. However, lately, Dixie is getting increasingly unsettled while we are gone. I don't know why, or what we should do about it.

    Any suggestions?

    Susie
