Gus was a kitten who had been dumped in our neighborhood, Keebler extended the paw of friendship to him and raised him to be a fine cat and outstanding hunter. [H]&amp;nbsp; Phebe is our little star.&amp;nbsp; She&amp;#39;s beautiful, and she knows it.&amp;nbsp; She actually poses for the camera.&amp;nbsp; Well, all of our cats pose, but she does especially.&amp;nbsp; Her head perks up when the camera is trained on her, and sometimes she&amp;#39;ll make a funny gesture to amuse us.&amp;nbsp; Here, she is peeking out from under the Christmas tree.&amp;nbsp; I had put it up a few days ahead of time to get the cats used to it before I decorated it, and they took to it just fine.&amp;nbsp; I am happy to report that we have not had a fallen tree incident yet, though we did find a few gifts that needed re-wrapping!&lt;/p&gt;</description><enclosure url="http://onlynaturalpetcommunity.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Components.PostAttachments/00.00.00.03.18/phebe2.JPG" length="92832" type="image/jpeg" /></item><item><title>Mr. Kitty</title><link>http://onlynaturalpetcommunity.com/media/p/317.aspx</link><pubDate>Thu, 17 Jul 2008 20:47:00 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">47c456c3-6b85-4eef-884c-46b8fd7d56f7:317</guid><dc:creator>teachers_pet79</dc:creator><slash:comments>0</slash:comments><description>&lt;p&gt;This is Mr. Kitty.&amp;nbsp; I found him at a rest area in Florida when I was still driving a truck.&amp;nbsp; I had stopped to get something to drink and stretch.&amp;nbsp; When I approached the main building, he poked his head out from under the bushes, and sat directly in my way so that I couldn&amp;#39;t pass by without saying hello.&amp;nbsp; I noticed at that time that he had some issues with his right eye; it was swollen and ulcerated.&amp;nbsp; When I returned, he followed me all the way to my truck, so I fed him some fresh tuna and water, and put him in the truck to see how he would react.&amp;nbsp; He took to it instantly, and so I decided to keep him.&amp;nbsp; He rode on my lap for nearly 3 days before he was comfortable enough to explore the truck and take care of &amp;quot;business&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp; When I got home, I immediately scheduled him for a vet visit, and after that, for surgery.&amp;nbsp; He only has one eye now, but he&amp;#39;s happy and healthy, and loves to be wherever Mommy is--until Daddy gets home.&amp;nbsp; Then he wants nothing to do with me.
