This is Mr. Kitty.  I found him at a rest area in Florida when I was still driving a truck.  I had stopped to get something to drink and stretch.  When I approached the main building, he poked his head out from under the bushes, and sat directly in my way so that I couldn't pass by without saying hello.  I noticed at that time that he had some issues with his right eye; it was swollen and ulcerated.  When I returned, he followed me all the way to my truck, so I fed him some fresh tuna and water, and put him in the truck to see how he would react.  He took to it instantly, and so I decided to keep him.  He rode on my lap for nearly 3 days before he was comfortable enough to explore the truck and take care of "business".  When I got home, I immediately scheduled him for a vet visit, and after that, for surgery.  He only has one eye now, but he's happy and healthy, and loves to be wherever Mommy is--until Daddy gets home.  Then he wants nothing to do with me. My husband still drives, and is gone most of the time.  This is my favorite picture of Mr. Kitty.  It turned out so well, I had it framed to remind me of the day we met.
